A post-pandemic murder mystery

Adaeze was whacked and weary when she found the house near the edge of the woods, so she did not dispose of the bodies immediately.

The virus mutated. Nobody could control the pandemic and it has wiped out most of humanity.

In England, Adaeze leaves the horrors of city and heads north where she starts a new community of survivors.

In Chicago, Leo, six years old, arrives on the last flight from Europe with his dying father. Orphaned, he grows up with his cruel relatives on a Minnesota farm, but where is his real home?

Adaeze’s happy village grows until Dot, her adopted daughter, finds the body of a murdered man outside their house. Dot turns detective and uncovers a secret that goes back a lifetime. Can she protect the ones she loves?

A treat for fans of dystopian fiction, Station Eleven, Margaret Atwood or an intriguing mystery.
